Qualifications:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience; 2-4 years (for junior level) / 5-7 years (for Mid level)
Mining, sand/gravel/aggregate, coal, cement industry experience is preferred.
Excellent mechanical design and AutoCAD 2007 drafting experience.
Experience with hydraulics and hydraulics system design.
Experience with belt conveyor systems for bulk material handling.
Must have strong teamwork and leadership skills.
Must be able to show above average energy and intensity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a mechanical engineer you will perform power, stress and machine calculations for engineering of belt conveyor systems, and build a belt conveyor system from 30” to 72” in width.
Other duties include generating build of materials (BOM) for both equipment and materials, reviewing vendor drawings for mechanical equipment and fabricated steel drawings, and mechanical equipment selection of drive systems, hydraulics equipment, machine components and transmission systems.
Limited travel is necessary, probably around 25% max.
