In 2002 San Diego staffing companies’ payrolled 2321 employees, paid them $155,289,000, and received $410,793,000 in sales. Orange County payrolled 2169 employees, paid them $203,626,000, and received 423,640,000 in sales. Los Angeles staffing firms’ payrolled 7610 employees, paid them $470,426,000, and received of $4,222,455,000 in sales.
The US Census shows an upward trend in technology related consulting jobs. The changes between a staffing company 1997 Census and 2002 Census show an upward trend of 56% in establishments, 56.5% in paid employees, 105.3% in employee payroll, and 86.6% in sales receipts.
The staffing solution potential is huge. In 2002, the technical and information related companies target market size in San Diego was 11,479 according to the US Census. In Orange County it was 13,514. In Los Angeles it was 35,647.
As long as there is a shortage in technical talent there will be need for a technical staffing company.
