TechReq does biotech staffing primarily with medical device companies. The requirements are typically IT and engineering staffing.
As a biotech staffing company we provide candidates who have experience in the area of expertise the company is looking for first and second candidates who also have experience in biotech consulting. For example, when a medical device company is looking for an embedded engineer they absolutely need an engineer who has experience programming embedded devices. If they also have worked for a biotech company, that is a big plus, but in most cases not necessary.
This means if you have a programmer who has worked for a biotech company that does not have experience in embedded software programming they probably are not qualified. But if you have an engineer who has experience in embedded programming that has not worked for a biotech company they likely are qualified. That being said, if you have a candidate who has experience in embedded programming that has also worked for a biotech company and is familiar with FDA regulations they are even more qualified.
